3ds max opacity map tutorial-How can i create a transparent glass.

HOW TO MAKE AN OBJECT TRANSPARENT ?

HELLO....

3ds max has many different types of map in standard material. Opacity map is among them.We know that opacity means transparency. Amount of opacity map decide the value of transparency of the object. This is very easy to use this map. Hit 'M 'for open the material editor and give material to object (Box) with use 'Assign material to selection'.Now go to MAP  and select Opacity map. (see image)

After assign material to object now we should the change amount of opacity. Opacity amount 100 means object maximum transparent value and Opacity amount 0 (zero) means object fully visible. You also change the map by choose any texture or image to opacity map. Here i give the texture of square glazed tiles to opacity map.

SET THE OPACITY AMOUNT -0 (ZERO)

SET THE OPACITY AMOUNT -100

3ds max - Multi-Pass Motion Blur Effect Tutorial

HOW CAN I GET MOTION BLUR EFFECT TO MY OBJECT

CREATE PANEL>CAMERA>TARGET OR FREE>PARAMETERS ROLLOUT>MULTI PASS EFFECT GROUP SELECT MOTION BLUR>MOTION BLUR PARAMETERS.

Multi pass motion blur effect means Camera generates motion effect by blur when object is animate.Object become very blur when its moving fast. It is depending also camera view. This effect's use is very huge in present animation industry.in multi pass camera render subsequent frames of an animation and collect the blurs image and make it together.

First, for go to the motion blur parameters, select camera and go to modify panel. In parameters roll out enable MULTI PASS EFFECT (you also use preview button for preview on direct view port ) and select MOTION BLUR from roll out. Click on RENDER EFFECT PER PASS now go to motion blur parameters.click on DISPLAY PASSES, and set amount 12 (Default value) for TOTAL PASSES.

Here you should know that Total passes is the number of passes that used for generate the motion blur effect. That means increase the value of total passes, increase the quality and accuracy of image motion blurring. ( But a cost of render time ). Now go to DURATION. duration is the number of frame used for motion blurring. You can also change and play with this parameter with see preview button for direct in view port preview. (Default value 1.0.) BIAS-Increasing this value biases the blurring towards to the next frame and decreasing its value biases the blurring to the previous frame.

3ds max composite material tutorial

INTRODUCTION
COMPOSITE MATERIAL

Hy friends,

Today, We learn that how to use composite material in 3d studio max.The composite material mixing ten different types of materials it is use adding, subtracting or mixing the opacity for compositing. The composite basic parameters roll out has  selection of the base material and nine additional materials its all additional material can be composite on to the base material. The materials are applied from top to bottom.

You also enable or disable each material using the check box ( left side ) The button labeled with the letters A, S and M specify the opacity type. A,S and M means Additive,Subtractive, and mix. here default additives option by 3ds max.

The additive option brightness the material by adding the background colors to the current material.

The subtractive option has the opposite effect and subtracts the background colors from the current material.

The mix option blends the materials.

To the right of the A, S, and M buttons is the mix amount. The range of this amount between  0 to 200. 0 means none of the material below it will be visible. At 100, full compositing occurs. if this value going to more than 100, material go to transparent regions to become more opaque.this material also similar to MIX map but different is between this mix map becomes object mix two map and composite  material opaque two material.
